Greetings from a new subscriber, tracing ancestors who lived in India.

Jules Leonard Schaumburg was born 20 Dec 1881, baptised at St John's
Calcutta on 15 March 1882. (Later changed named to Harris by deed poll
in 1914, in England). It was thought that he was schooled at Clifton
College in Bristol, England - but they have no record.

His parents were: Jules Henry John Schaumburg & Ruth O'Brien. Jules
Henry worked in/for the Geological Survey Dept.

Schaumburgs said to have been of Austrian background.

Jules Leonard married Elsie May Soundy, baptised at Christ Church,
Byculla 6 April 1886 (born: 8 Feb 1886). parents Arthur Francis & Ada
Mary Soundy lived at Mazagon. He was Secretary of Soundy Co. Ltd.

My father (born Dudley Palmer S...., Calcutta, 1912) was Jules Leonard's
son but never talked about his family & I never met any of them. Jules
& Elsie separated & divorced when my father young.

Would be pleased to hear if anyone comes across Schaumburg, O'Brien or
Soundy names (at least the S names are unusual!)
