Hi, Everybody--
I did a posting several months back, but am hoping that perhaps
a new list member might find some of this familiar--

I am working on the BUDDEN family of Almora, Uttar Pradesh.
John Henry Budden was a missionary of the London Missionary
Society and went to India in about 1840. He died in
Almora after establishing a church and leper asylum there.
I have a fair amount of information about him, his parents and
grandparents in Britain, and his daughters, who remained
in India and continued his work there. He also had a son,
who I have not been able to trace.

I would love to share information about the LMS (I have access
to several very interesting books in the University of
Minnesota's Asian collection) and about the BUDDEN family
as well as any thoughts or information about missions
in that area of India (or, for that matter, any information
about Almora and its surroundings--never having been to India,
I am intrigued and fascinated by what little I have
read!).

Best of luck to you all--
Tara van Brederode
