Hi Gerald
I see from your email address that you are in the UK - if London, then try
visiting the British Library yourself and checking out the India Office
Records yourself....
Otherwise, the LDS church have records of the French in India on microfilm
going back to 1664 - discovered this only last night when I was checking
the catalogue fische. However, you will probably find the relevant films
beed ordering from Salt Lake City. A lot of the material filmed seems to
be reports, correspondendence, proceedings of the Governor General &
Council etc.... However relvant periods and film reel numbers are: (& Doug
Augier - please note this - I had collected this info for you!!!)
