Would fellow Ango-Indians find the term 'half-caste' offensive and does it
give the questioner a clear picture of one's ethnic origin? I have also
run into problems when completing Ethnic Origin Questionnaires which was
required in an exercise conducted by the Civil Service. I had filled the
"Others" box with "Anglo-Indian of British/Indian parentage," but when I
received the printout back, I had been classed as "Asian!"
