Hi:
I am new to the mailing list, but am looking for any advice on how to find
out about my gg grandfather's pension. Apparently he served in the 6th
Artillery, in the Madras Army, from about 1837-1842. He was injured, and
discharged from the army. He received a small pension from the army for the
rest of his life. Story has it, that he also received a medal for his
services. Is there any way that I can find out what injury he received, how,
and if he got a medal, what medal did he receive.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Lorie
