Dear All
i have been asked to find any information that I can about two families
that lived/worked in India. All the info. is very sketchy but hopefully
one of you may know something.
Prior to WW2, a Ruby Christabel McNair is believed to have married a David
McNair. David McNair is believed to have been a Police Officer, and may
have been a District Superintendent. Ruby wrote to a relative in the UK at
the beginning of the war saying that she was going "to the hills" and after
her letter, effectively disappeared. The Red Cross were unable to find her
post-war.
Again, there is a family story that David McNair died after being bitten by
a snake.
There are two McNair births in the OIOL records between 1939 and 1945 for a
David McNair (named after Dad?) and Margaret, both born in Mukden.
Any help would be gratfully received
Regards
Tony Fuller
