It is also possible to gain a readers ticket by obtaining written
confirmation from the Missionary Society that you have been referred by them
and that you are engaged in serious study. (My words. I can't remember
exactly how they put it) I did manage to gain access under these conditions,
'just' to study the lives of my forbears. I obtained my letter of referral
a couple of years ago, from:

No, they certainly don't. They did not even respond to my letter when I
wrote originally....
