Good morning to all

I would hazard a guess at "...the moat is dry and has a lunette in the
middle" A "lunette" is a fortification of some sort: according to my
dictionary "larger than a redan, with two faces and two flanks". A "redan"
is a fieldwork with two faces forming a salient angle".

If nothing else, this List certainly is educational and leads one down some
strange paths!

Time to go to work.
