Go to the STATE LIBRARY OF NSW IN MACQUARIE STREET !!!
(Sorry to shout - its just in case anyone hasn't heard me!!!!) If you have
limited time, as I do nowadays - having to dash up there in my lunch break -
you can phone them up and ask for the book to be set aside. You need to
give 24 hours notice.
The phone number for the library is: 02 9273 1414
The call number of the book is: DS954.03/1
You will need to tell them which year(s) you want to look at BUT - do NOT
request anything in the 1870s because they don't have any holdings in that
decade. There are several in the 1880s though - if they haven't got the one
you want, they should provide the nearest year.
Once a book is brought up from the stacks you can request it to be set aside
for further consultation for a week. I have been looking at the 1918
edition all this week during lunch breaks.
