This is a big question requiring a long answer which can't usefully be
posted in a short email! Philip Mason has a very substantial section on
the Mesopotamian campaign in _A Matter of Honour_ ('an account of the
Indian Army, its officers and men,' 1974,) with accounts of the part
played by numerous regiments drawn from Europe and India...as many as
600,000 men from India. Since you're asking for 'stats, hard info and
narrative accounts' you'd probably find what you need in these chapters.
Is there a good library nearby?

Are you interested in the involvement of any particular regiment?

Jill
