Hello Everyone,

I have access to the above book. It is based on the "Dodwell & Miles's
List" (published 1838) or to use its more verbose title "Alphabetical
List of the Officers of the Bengal Army; with the dates of their
respective promotion, retirement, resignation, or death, whether in
India or in Europe; from the year 1760, to the year 1834 inclusive,
corrected to September 30, 1837".

I guess that says all about what the book contains. Apart from the
above the "List of Officers of the Bengal Army, 1758-1834" (published
1927) also contains information like, when the person arrived in India
and in what ship, what operations/wars he was involved in, names of
parent, spouse & her parents, and if you're lucky, children. It
contains information on nealy 7,000 officers.

In case you want me to lookup some information in this book, let me
know. But please be patient as I might take a long time to reply. But
