Dear James and other listees,
I believe there was another term for the same scenario.... OTC
or Off The Country.
I think many Britishers looked down on their fellow countrymen if they
succumbed to "native ways".
This latter term could have a wide range of application.
Unfortunately, I cannot quote a source for this subjective information.
