Dear List,
I am reposting for the new year on the name WILSON. (very common but
difficult to locate exact relatives)

I was hoping for a WILSON lookup.

My GGGrandfather was WILLIAM WILSON (b. 1810) who married November 3,
1840, Benares, India to ANNE WALKER(b.August 9, 1826), in Saugor, India.
WILLIAM was 30 and ANNE was 14. Her father JOHN WALKER was deceased and
was a Private 3rd European Regt. Bengal Army and her mother was Mary
(Cale?)
WILLIAM WILSON was Quartermaster Sgt. 3rd Native Infantry, Bengal Army.
WILLIAM WILSON was a carder (part of the process of spinning yarn) born
in Milford, Derbyshire (c.1810) enlisted in 1828 to India on the
Bridgewater in 1829 and was appointed QMS 58th Native Infantry December
1841, pensioned February 1850, then QMS on the Pensions establishment.
Their children were as follows:
GEORGE WILSON, born 20.09.1841
ARTHUR BAKEWELL WILSON, born 24, 12, 1847, (my great grandfather)
SARAH ANNE WILSON, born 1850
ALICE MARY WILSON, born 27.11.1852

HERVBERT EYRE WILSON, born 21.02.1861

ARTHUR BAKEWELL WILSON, born December 24, 1847, married May 16, 1866, in
Trinity Church, Allahabad, India to GRACE ISABEL HEARNE, born in 1846,
age 20, a spinster and her father was JAMES HEARNE.

I have since found out the children of GRACE ISABEL HEARNE and ARTHUR
BAKEWELL WILSON. They are as follows:
MARY MABEL HEARNE WILSON, born 1868
EVELYN DUDLEY WILSON, born 11.02.1877
SHIRLEY EYRE WILSON, born 09.03. 1883
KENNETH LYNNE WILSON, born 20.04.1888 in Simla, India,(my grandfather)
NEVILLE LESLIE KEITH WILSON, born 21.05.1890
GRAY WILSON
J.W. WILSON

ARTHUR BAKEWELL WILSON, 18, was a bachelor and a member of the East India
Company when he became a Clerk, Government Secretariat, N.W. Provinces.
In 1869 he was Assistant, Government Secretariat, Allahabad, in 1875 he
was Registrar Department of Revenue, Agriculture and Commerce, by 1885 he
was Registrar Legal Department on R4-600 a month until 1905, in 1906 and
1907 returned to 14 Albany Road, Bedford England.

I thought if you came across any of these names you could let me know.

If you could find any more information on these people, I would be very
grateful for your help. I look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Barb
