Asansol - I believe it is in the West Bengal State?

Asansol is located on the Railway and the Grand Trunk Road to the North-West
of Calcutta, maybe about 200km - although I found it on the map I'm afraid
that it doesn't rate a mention in Lonely Planet, so not able to give more
info. Maybe someone else has some details.
