Hi folks

The British Empire & Commonwealth Museum in Bristol, UK has undertaken a very large programme on the
forstry services across the world and I know that they have a good deal of material on India because
I've looked at it. They also have completed an oral history programme on the subject and have tapes
of people who served in the colonial Forstry services, including India.

I do not have their internet addresses available at the moment but search through your ISP/search
engine.

Also, forestry employees were PWD and there are records for the service in the OIOC in London and
sections on the forstry service in Thackers and the other directories.

Just a reminder that the Company ceased operations in 1858 and that by 1875 India had long been
governed by the British Government, rather than the company.

Regards

Tony Fuller
