I have a single photocopied page of the Gazette Notifications of India and Madras
Gazette (1905)which lists such names as

Mr EC Muriel, Dy Conservator of Forests
Mr MC Bonig, Extra Asst. Conservator of Frsts
Mr AJ Gibson, Instructor, Imperial Forest School
Mr CP Fisher,Conservator of Forests 3rd Grade
Mr PH Clutterbuck, officiating Conservator 3rd Grade
Mr C du Pre Thornton, Acting Dy.Conservator, Madras
MR Ry DFO,
Mr Ernest Radcliffe MurrayDy Conservator,
Mr Charles Edward Brasier To-be
Mr Alfred Wyndham Lushington to-be Conservator
Mr HA Gass, Conservator-General,
and Mr James Tapp in lieu of Mr Aitchinson at Vizianagram.

I'm happy to send the copy-page over to anyone who sees a connection. Couched
in all of those names is my elusive and ( now mysterious GGGfather) who refuses
to divulge further information of himself.
Be it known to him that I will find him and all his pub-mates, forest or no
forest, hooch or no-hooch!
