I would appreciate any information Listers might have on the Indian Postal Service in Calcutta. I have just obtained my grandmothers death certificate and it shows Grandads occupation as Telegraph Inspector (Indian Postal Service).

I knew he was a Telegraph Engineer but for some reason I associated it was with the Eastern Bengal Railway. Probably because his son Jim was a Driver on that Railway and I was told that Grandad had been instrumental in his choice of career. Ah well back to the drawing board.
