My ancestor Michael Ford served in India between 1834 and 1846 with the
39th Dorsetshire Regiment of Foot. Michael married Harriet SANSBY at
Bangalore, India on 20 April 1835. Harriet was reported to be the
daughter of William Sansby who was believed to have also been a soldier
in India. Harriet was born at Dinapore circa 1820.
Any clues as to where to find birth information and parents etc. would
be gratefully received.
