This is my first message to the List!

I am trying to trace my maternal gfather, Charles Blomfield, born 1851 (I
don't know where), died about 1895 in India. All I know about him is that
he was a coffee planter at Ramsay Estate, Wynaad (on the Kerala/Coorg
border?), S.India. He married Anne Richmond, born 1859, and they had
3 daughters - Grace, the youngest, was my mother. His father was a
Charles George Blomfield.
I have not been able to establish whether the CGBlomfield born in 1828 in
Chester UK, who went to India in 1849, died 1867 as a Capt. in the Staff Corps,
Supdt. of Police, Malabar, was indeed the father of Charles Blomfield, my
gfather.
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.
