I am a newby to the India list and this is my first posting.
While searching through archives I have had success with finding a cousin I never knew I had.
This is information I have on my mothers side. If anyone can help with further info on any of it and/or where to obtain certificates and written information etc I would appreciate it greatly.
Robert Walter duBignon de Talbot b. 1809 in Paris. Went to India in 1830. Took up service under the Begum Shamroo of Surdhana. d.10 July, 1867 or 1868 at Ludhiana in the Punjab, India Aged 59. buried in Ludhiana cemetery.

their parents are listed as John duBignon and Elizabeth (no surname).
whether they are the same people I don't know. I have to order microfilm to check).

I believe he owned Estates in India (Bangalore I think)
Married 24 April, 1905, St Pauls Church Asansol.

Daniel (some papers have David) Isaacson b.11 Jan 1844 Busar India. Brought up and educated at La Martineas (?) College, Lucknow, with Uncle or brother William Isaacson went thru Indian Mutiny 1857 with the Bailer or Bailee Guard and received the Indian Mutiny medal 1857 for the Defence of Lucknow.

Amelia Copley b. 16 December 1853 Dorando Chota Nagpur (Allahabd) (Brother Charlie Copley was in ring Carnival Circus)
d. 2 Aug 1928 Tundla of pneumonia aged 75 yrs.
Amelia's Father was James William Saunders Copley b. 27 March 1815 Charliville Cork Ireland. Conductor in the Army at Allahabad. James William's Father was James Copley who was groom to Lord Amhurst and eloped with and married his daughter Lady Ann Amhurst.
Amelia's Mother I have as Ann Ives-Ovenger b. 17 Sept 1882

Invalided to Chunar 2 Oct 1840. School Master of 1st European Regiment at Buxar East India Company. d. 1847 Buxar.

Mine is Amelia Copley b 1853 who married Daniel Isaacson b 1844
I have it written that
Amelia was born 16 December 1853 Dorando Chota Nagpur (Allahabad) she had a brother Charlie who was in Ring Carnival Circus.
She died 2 august 1928 Tundla (Aged 75 yrs) pneumonia
She is the Daughter of
James William Saunders Copley born 1815 in Ireland. Conductor in Army at Allahabad. Enlisted at Westminster 1836.
He was a Gunner Bengal Artillery 1836 Corporal Bengal Artillery 1843 Gunn. Sgt 1844.
who apparently married Ann Ives born Allahabad. Father ? Ives Mother ? Ovenger
James father is also a James Copley who was Groom to Lord Amhurst - and eloped with and married his daughter Lady Ann Amhurst.
I am not sure if it is the same line you are researching but would very much appreciate knowing.
