On the ebay auction site there is a document concerning John Burke a
member of the HEIC in 1852 that is being offered for sale..

The address is difficlt to load but a google search in cgi ebay and
then entering the id number got me there.

Part description from site :-
Incredible stampless letter sent from Bombay. It is an Enquiry after
a soldier (John Burke) in the East India Company's Service who has
disappeared. His brother (James Burke) has made an enquiry as to what
happened and whether he is still alive -- he was a gunner in an
artillery unit in Bombay when he disappeared. John Burke sailed on
the Dartmouth on 8 January 1850. James Burke states that his purpose
in making the enquiry is "Brotherly affection, to know if living."
The brothers were from Clonmel, Ireland. This letter appears to be
the East India Company's letter documenting the enquiry sent back to
James Burke in Ireland. The East India Company was a company
chartered by Queen Elizabeth I for trade with Asia.etc etc
