Irv,
I can at least start you off... Haupper, Seharunpore and Hissar were the 3
Studs of the N.W. Provinces of Bengal, each was run by an Assistant or 2nd
Class Assistant and then a Vet. Surgeon with an occasional Asst. Medical
Surgeon (this according to the 1845 India list). I suspect that this is the
place which is now called HAPUR, some 20 miles South East of Meerut and 40
miles East of Delhi.
