Hello The List!

Some while ago Jill Grey was kind enough to post a wee notice to explain
my absence from the list. This was nothing serious - nothing that a new
computer, several new peripherals, new operating system, some new
software etc etc have not remedied (or nearly so). Even now, I don't
have access to my database - as is fairly normal these days, the
software used for that will not run on the new system, so an old machine
will soon be acquired as a stop-gap measure, whilst I redesign the
database using a major upgrade of the software. All a tad frustrating,,
only slightly compensated for by the beauty of my new machine.

Yesterday afternoon I finally got myself back on the internet, and
downloaded 796 emails. There will clearly be something of a further
delay before I manage to send an answer to those who may be expecting
one, for which I apologise in advance.
