I have come across the following in the churchyard of St. Huberts, Baptist
Church in Corfe Mullen, Dorset (near Wimborne). Might be of interest to
someone:

Major General Charles Powlett Lane, Commander of 21st Hussars and of
Budgemore (?), Henley on Thames, born 8.2.1826, died at Widworthy 17.1l.1910.
Served with distinction through the Punjab Campaign - Rapinuoger (?),
Chillianwalla (?), Coujerat (?) and Indian Mutiny. Also his devoted wife
Bertha Albiac, daughter of John Housemaine Boulay.

I am afraid that some of the inscription was badly worn and the above is the
best I could do. I know that recently someone was researching Boulais (?)
and this might be of use.

Regards
Jacqui Bowen
