Subject: {not a subscriber} New Subscriber - Posting my interests - William Harrison died 8/1/1864 - bombay

Hi,

I would like to ask for help where to look next. I recently found
that
my husbands GrGrUncle William Harrison, died in Bombay on 8/1/1864
(this informaiton came from a family gravestone).

My interest piqued by this information I found an entry in the
newspaper annoucements on Sylvia Murphy's website - Passage to India
(
thanks Sylvia) in the deaths for 1864 which matched nicely to the
date
and told me that William had been working on the Great Indian
Pennisular Railway.

My question is where do I look next? Is there likely to be an entry
on
the Oriental and India Office Collection ? What extra information it
is likely to give me if there is one, in particular I am interested
in
whether William was married, his occupation and of course the cause of
death.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Jo Corless
