This is my first posting so i hope someone can help.My gg.grandmother MATILDA COSTALO b.24 Aug.1836 in Kirkee to ALBERT & CAROLINE COSTALO.Albert was a sargeant in the 4th Queens own regiment of the light dragoons at the time of Matilda's birth.Matilda married ALBERT PRIDE on 26th April 1856 in Kirkee (witnesses Wm Cocks & Mary Whitehead) Albert Pride was a lance Corporal in the 14th kings regiment of the light dragoons.There first son Albert David was b.1st March 1857 Kirkee.Albert & Matilda must have travelled between India, England & Ireland several times between 1857-1875 as they had possibly 9-11 children born in these countries.Albert seems to have transferred to the 21st Hussars at sometime.He was pensioned out of the army between 1870-1875.The Pride family ended up living in Leeds where my g.granfather was b. in 1877.
I am not sure what happened to ALBERT COSTALO but i found a record to say CAROLINE COSTALO married a WILLIAM COCKS.
I am hoping that anyone can give me any information on the names or the regiments i have mentioned.
