A memorial is being placed in the Bidadari "Garden of Rememberance".

are pleased to announce that the bronze plaque that has been
completed at the Arrow Foundry, Melbourne is now ready for shipment
to Singapore; we await a date from the Singapore Heritage Board as to
its installation, unveiling and dedication. If I haven't wrote to you
directly please accept my sincere apologies, I'm hard pressed to
remember all of you that have helped and contributed re the plaques
completion.

It seems an awful long time ago now that we opened protracted
negotiations with Singapore, sometimes acrimonious, nevertheless we
reached an amicable solution in the end, under the circumstances, the
best that we could achieve given the distance involved.

The plaque can be viewed on our site, go to the Latest Column.

We await Singapore's decision as to any tax commitments we may face,
I'll be surprised if there are any considering my latest missive to
the Heritage Board, one can only wait. The monies remaining will be
used to purchase a suitable memorial in the 'Convoy of Trees'
