To add to Arvind Kolhatkar's far from 'useless' information, I'd like to
recommend Amitav Ghosh's gripping fictional account of Burma's turbulant
story, _The Glass Palace_ (2000, now in paperback). The fates of King Thibaw
and his family before and during their exile at Ratnagiri figure prominently
together with the the events of WW2.
