This Thomas Griffin was the son of William Samuel Griffin and his 1st wife Eleanor Sarah Berry. He married Sarah Walton Bull on the 20th Sept 1845. In one census, the name Griffin is transcribed as Guellin. He served as an engineer on the Feroze but died in London in 1872
