Hi Elaine,
Thank you for your responses. I'm sorry to say that I am quite sure that the name of the town is Burket, IN. and is in Franklin Township. The only factual evidence I have is the 1900 Fed. Census which lists Elizabeth as the wife of David JULIAN. One of their children, Nora Belle JULIAN married Frank MOFFITT(MOFFETT). According to the obituary for Nora JULIAN MOFFITT, her parent's names were David and Elizabeth EVANS JULIAN. Nora was born at Mentone, IN. and married at Warsaw, IN. Frank's obit indicates they were married at Burkett, IN.
