I just found your post and what a thrill...I am the daughter of
her brother Emmett J. Carpenter...my dad left us when I
was seven and all I can tell you is...yes, they were adopted out..my mother thinks there may have been five or six
children..one son was named Robert Miles, there was one
sister who became a nun she thinks and one might have
been killed in a car crash....please contact me...Sandra
