she lists census as her sources for information
1850 sheet 183B, he was a 26 yo male born NJ, carpenter
1860 page 103, he was a 35 yo male born NJ, carpenter, personal estate
values at $60
1870 sheet 15B, p.6 he was a 45 yo male born NY, carpenter
1880 e.d. 143, sheet 54C, p.19, he was a 56 yo male, born NJ, both parents
born in NY, carpenter, was unemployed for 2 months during census year

since you have info at ancestry you no doubt have all of this however you
might contact this deborah above and see if you two can compare notes.

the oldest child being born in wisconsin gives a place to look also.

i would also try looking for brother philip, you might stumble onto
information this way.

have you tried doing google searches? i find a lot of good info this way.
