Yes, there is a genealogical society in Fountain Co.

The dues are $10.00 per year, beginning in March and includes a
bi-monthly newsletter. Even though I live in Tennessee, I was able to
attend one meeting and found the local members to be very friendly and
helpful. I think you will really enjoy the benefits of the group. The
newsletter has 2 pages of transcriptions of the 1880 Fountain Co.
Census in each issue. The meetings are held the second Thursday of each
month and any special meeting are listed in the newsletter.
