My line is most often spelled CRAIN. William Sawyer Crain as well as his sister Nancy Crain JOHNSTON or JOHNSON were both in Fountain Co., coming there from Warren Co. OH and to there from Dauphin Co. PA. Also sisters, Margaret Crain Brown and also Mary "Polly" Crain Sewell also came from Warren Co. OH to Fountain Co. IN. Their parents were William and Mary Sawyer Crain, he is buried in Warren Co. OH.

Seems as I recall never being able to make the connection between these CRAIN and CRANES even though they were in the same counties in OH and IN.
