the 1880 census doesn't show the family in indiana. so i went to the ohio census discs that i have. 5 nancy behymers show up, but only 2 could be your nancy. one was born in 1874, the other in 1877. do you know what year nancy and john were married? all of these nancys are in clermont county, ohio. no john shows up in that county in 1880.
