the 1860 census shows john bright jr. age 44, ann 34, charles age 10, elizabeth age 8, and edwin age 1. this census says that john bright was born in maryland. this family was living in parke county in liberty township. living next door to this family was the john bright sr. family. john sr was also born in maryland, elizabeth his wife, and dorothy age 42 who was a daughter. so john jr. and dorothy were siblings.
the 1870 census shows ann as a widow age 44, charles age 20, and lizzie age 18 still living in parke county, liberty township.
in the miller-lodi cemetery in liberty township, i find....
john bright jr. died april 19,1862 46y 1m
john bright sr. died dec.7,1860 94y 8m
elizabeth bright died jan.4,1871 93y
dorothy bright 2/29/1818-4/1/1991
i also saw a burial for e. clayton bright. edwin showing in the 1860 census had the middle name of clayton.
