Dear Randy, Thanks for replying so fast. This Goodwin family has had me
searching for a very long time. Samuel F. Goodwin was a teacher and a farmer.
He moved often. It seems like all ten children were born in a different
Indiana County. However, he is listed in the l840 census in Franklin Co. By
l850 I can't find him. Supposedly he died in l850 but I think he died a
little after that because he and his wife, Susana, had a child, John H. in
l85l. People seemed to round out dates a lot back then when they wrote
family history. Samuel's first wife was Adeline. They had four children,
Ira, Mary, Martha, and David. Adeline died prior to l840. He married Susana
Benge (2nd) and their first child Lydia was born in l840 in Madison Co. IN.
My Grandmother(Gr) Temperance, was born in Kosciusco Co. in l840. Then after
that were Lemon C. Samuel F., Wm. Spencer, and John H. After Samuel died
Susana married James Bailey in Iowa and they came to Nebraska . I would like
to know Susana Benge's parents and the parents of Samuel F. too. I would like
to know marriage dates. I couldn't get the marriage records from the
heartland page today. Samuel probably married first around l825+ and then to
Susana Benge around l839. Thanks for your help. No, I am have not subscribed
to a free mailing list, but I am very interested. Tell me what to do to get
