Subject: Sellemyer Family from Oldenburg

I've been looking for records of the Sellmeyer family and when they arrived in
Oldenburg. They owned the Tannery and I believe the Linen factory.
John Henry Sellmeyer was born in 1818, left Osnabruck Germany, lived in
Cincinnati for awhile where he married Maria Elizabeth Brugenschmidt and had a
son (John Henry Jr.). The earliest reference in Oldenburg is 1842.
I am also looking for the Dahmus family.
I had made contact with some folks who married into the Sellmeyer family but
the communications were abruptly cut off. I hope that anyone who recognizes
the names and has any information will contact me.
