Dear Randy,
You're right. The problem is that hundreds of other sites were linked
to your central page. When it changed to a referral page/wrestling site,
and links began to disappear from the new home site, everywhere I went
it looked like the whole cemetery system was disintegrating. For my
own benefit I reconstituted the index site offline, then printed out
everything
I could find before it disappeared. Your sites are still all there, but two
Tripod cemetery links have disappeared, and two other links go to pages
that do not include the cemetery referenced. With no focus, I worried
that site makers might start dropping pages for lack of interest. I didn't
know what Esther was thinking, and I still don't -- she is making the site
look good but we are not yet receiving leadership from her. But I
refuse to let drop what you worked so hard to build.
As for giving credit to folks who worked hard on sites, that
certainly
needs to be done! In some cases each individual cemetery site already
does that, but on a few sites it is almost impossible to detect who put the
site on line, except for a vague graphic family resemblance. I have tried
to focus on who can make actual corrections.
We should put all of our acknowledgments on each individual
cemetery page. I hope everyone will let me know exactly who
should be listed as a cemetery site's on-line contact for corrections.
In my book, you are the best! Like Atlas, you took on the whole
world, and after a while it got to be too big of a burden, so some of the
rest of us need to pick up part of the load -- and I think we perhaps we
need a County Coordinator or Assistant CC who lives in Franklin County.
I'm here to lighten the load and do my part. God bless you!
Best wishes!
