Looking for information on Augustus JOCELYN b. 18 Feb 1772 in New Haven Co., CT to Pember JOSLIN/Elizabeth DUDLEY. Augustus was married 21 Feb 1791 to Hannah Byington. Augustus was a Methodist Episcopal Minister who was a circuit minister for the Fairfield Circuit in 1797 and 1800. He moved to Franklin Co., IN (Brooksville) and he was involved with the building of the White Water Canal. He was also one of the first newspaper owners in Franklin Co., IN owning the Franklin Repository and the Brookville Western Agriculturist. Another JOCELYN who appears to be related is Jared C. JOCELYN who also was a newspaper publisher in New Albany in addition to being a well-respected Justice of the Peace for many years. I am trying to determine who his children were and if he had a daughter Nancy Elizabeth b. abt 1795-1800. My Nancy Elizabeth JOCELYN married Watson LEWIS in Hamilton Co., OH on 1 Sept 1819. Any information is greatly appreciated!
