Subject: [INFRANKLI-L] George Powell + Mrs. Martin Taylor
Date: Sat, 28 Oct 2000 19:15:57 -0500
In 1860 George Powell's family is on the census record
with a P.O. Box of New Salem (Rush County).
In 1864 George's wife is buried in Laurel (Franklin County).
In 1865 George marries a "Mrs. Martha G. Taylor"
in Fayette County. (Mrs. MARTIN TAYLOR).
These three locations are very close in geographical proximity,
and I'm looking within this circle for the MARTIN TAYLOR
who was Martha's first(?) husband.
(She & Martin had a son, Edwin S. Taylor, born in 1861 "in IN").
George's first wife, KIZA, is buried in the Laurel Cemetery
next to a JAMES POWELL ...... does anyone have a
connection/information about this James Powell & his family???
