After 25 years I have broken through my husband's family 'brick wall'. We found his great-great grandparents Thomas W. Marshall about 1831 - 1875 and Sarah Jane maiden name unknown, about 1833-1905. Her obituary states she lived in the area all of her life (Everton, Fayette Co., Indiana.) and listed their children as: Her children who survive are: Mrs. Grundy Vestch and Mrs. Mary McPherson, of this city, (Connersville) Samuel Marshall, of Missouri, (my husband's line) Mrs. Kate Keener, of Cambridge City, Mrs. Charles Franklin, Mrs. Belle Simpson, Thomas Marshall, Richard Marshall, John Marshall, Silvey Marshall, Mrs. Harriett Mason. Thomas (Sr.) served in the Indiana 139th Company D for 100 days.
