I have made some great strides this summer in finding my ggggrandparents John and Christina. Family stories say that John was born in NJ, and was bethroved to Christina. Upon her family moving, he walked 700 miles to marry her. I do not have any idea how I can find John's family. I hope someone out there will know who this is.

JOHN1 WILKINSON1 was born June 30, 1791 in New Jersey, and died Abt. April 12, 1865 in Socialville, Ohio (Warren County). He married CHRISTINA DUSKEY December 18, 1822 in Hamilton County, Ohio. She was born February 19, 1794 in Ohio, and died June 01, 1871 in Spencer County, Indiana.


I know their son Samuel Paxton Wilkinson (my gggrandfather) moved to Spencer County Indiana and his mother must have gone with him.

Children of JOHN WILKINSON and CHRISTINA DUSKEY are:
i. LYDIA MARIA2 WILKINSON, m. J. J. MYERS.

2. ii. SAMUEL PAXTON WILKINSON, b. 1818, Hamilton County, Ohio; d. September 1881, Spencer County, Indiana (Grass Township).

iii. SARAH A. WILKINSON, b. September 13, 1823; d. December 27, 1878, Princeton, Indiana while visiting her brother George Henry; m. FORTNEY.

3. vi. GEORGE HENRY WILKINSON, b. October 25, 1837, Warren County, Ohio or Sandusky, Ohio; d. December 24, 1918, Princeton, Indiana.


Three of the four grandchildren of George died in the great Tornado March 18, 1925 in Baldwin Heights, Princeton, Indiana.
