First, I assume you are aware that the Speedway is in Marion Co., not Hamilton Co.
In the late 1950's, an early cemetery was moved when 30th st. was widened east of the track. All the gravestones were removed and discarded. There is now one stone
near the site in the Wesley Methodist Church lawn near the intersection of 30th St. & Tibbs Ave. marking the site. I have a photo of the stone and will gladly check for any name you might want info on.
Mt. Jackson Cemetery is located south of the Speedway on Tibbs Ave. also near Washington St. and across from the old Central State Hospital.
.
The burial names can be reviewed at www.waynefire.org/trustee/cemetery/dbase.htm.
Floral Park also is located south of the Speedway. It isn't too far from Mt. Jackson and is also being used currently. Well maintained. Many early settlers from the City Cemetery, also known as Greenlawn, were removed to Floral Park many years ago and there is a separate section for them in Floral Park.
Hope this info has been of some help to you.

I am trying to locate the name of a cemetery at Indianapolis that is very near to the famous Indianapolis Speedway This would be like a pioneer cemetery of sorts...I have ancestors there who died in the early 1840's. Thankks!
