My grandmother was Sadie Patricia Scowen (nee Bartholomew). She died in 2004. She always said she had a brother named York. Violet died when she was little and she was raised by other family members. Her father took off not long after Violet died.
If you have any more information on Violet and her family it would be appreciated. I obtained a copy of her marriage certificate from NSW Births, Deaths & Marriages and that is all we know.
