Yes, I'm with you on alot of John Summers. They seem to do that
alot back then. Father's named their son after themselves and
brothers would name son's after brother etc. Just seems there
must be a family tie here. How many Summers lived in Harrison
County at that time? Did any of your Summers come from
Ky. before Harrison County?
I have a wall with my John Summers. We think he was John S.
Summers, but not sure. My ggrandfather was three when his
father, John died and a year later his mother , Nancy Brandenburg
died. My ggrandfather was the youngest of ten children that
John and Nancy had over a 20 year span. He was sent to live with family
friends after his mother died and never knew his brothers or sister.
That friend did keep track of the other children for alittle while, so we have some info on them, but that's all. I have alot on Nancy
Brandenburg because she is from the royal family of Prusia.
Her grandfather was a prince and came to America right before
our independence.
I'll keep up my Summers hunt and let you know if I find anything,
please do the same.
Thanks,
Robin
