WOW! Thank you so much for taking time and to post a response to my listing. I had previously located a Mary in the 1870 census you mentioned. Mary was, in fact, born in New York. The record I viewed appears that she is living with a John Sr. so I'm guessing his son may have been deceased at that time or recorded at another location.
I too saw the Richland County, Ohio, marriage record but didn't believe it to be my Mary Wells since the record clearly states Mrs. Mary Wells, so I assumed the Mary listed was a widow. Most of Mary's siblings were married in Wayne County. Not all of Ohio's marriage records are indexed so its possible she was married in a nearby county.
I really do appreciate your time, especially when I'm not certain you are doing research on the Drabenstot surname for your own records. Its great to receive a quick response. Thanks again!
