The funeral services of Oliver Underwood were held at the M.E. church last Saturday forenoon, conducted by Rev. Lot Green, and the remains were afterward interred in the Batson cemetery. It seems strange that a young man just entering upon the responsibilities and business affairs of life, with good prospects before him, should thus be compelled to leave them unfinished. Mr. Underwood was an industrious and honorable young man, and he is sadly missed as a friend and neighbor.
