researching this family in Jackson county.

1830 census chariton co. MO
Zachariah McDaniel, 1 male under 5, 1 male 30-39; 1 female under 5, 1 female
5-9, 1 female 20-29

in 1830's Allen Scott is living in Jackson county and near by is his soon to
be wife and her parents, Rachel Miller and her parents, Brison and Mary
Marshall Burrell Miller. by 1850 all these families are in Decatur county,
Iowa. Allen Scott being recognised as the first white man in Decatur county,
Iowa in about 1838-39. he emassed nearly 4,000 acress. however all of whom
thought they where still in Missouri intell border dispute was settled. and
later found them selves 10 miles into Iowa.
