I am researching the Arthur Family of Jackson County, Indiana. My husband
descends from Elias Arthur who came to the area in 1820 from Knox County,
Kentucky. He originally came from North Carolina.

Elias married his cousin, Margaret Arthur, in 1823 but his first wife, name
unknown, was the ancestor to our line.
